Pieces are large and heavy, so if they are transported in a tilted position and the pallet falls, the line may stop. This makes it necessary to check for lifting when they are on a pallet. Surfaces subject to detection are often casted surfaces or highly reflective machined surfaces, requiring the use of laser sensors that are less affected by the condition of the surface being checked.
